Frequently Asked Questions

What if I’ve never done pilates before?

New to pilates? That’s okay! We have a range of classes suitable for all different levels. We recommend new clients to book into either our Reformer or Mat class.
When in the Reformer or Mat class, take the base/first spring options from
trainers and work your way up.
Don’t forget to arrive at the studio 10 minutes early to meet your trainer.

How do I get ready for my first class?

Wear something you’re comfortable in and feel as though you can freely move.
Bring a water bottle.
Bring a sweat towel.
Try not to eat 1.5 hours before class.
We have WC facilities on site for you to change, however, we do not
currently offer showers.
Arrive 10 minutes early.

Are your classes Pregnancy friendly?

Classes can always be modified for pregnancy, based on the pregnancy guidelines.
Just ensure you let your trainer know prior to class, it’s always best to keep your
trainer updated with how many weeks you are, how your balance is going and how
your body is feeling overall.

I have an injury, can I still train?

We always encourage clients to listen to your body. If you’re in class and something doesn’t feel right, modify and check in with your trainer. If you have an injury
you’re aware of, let your trainer know before class starts, in case they need to
make changes for you.

What’s the difference between Reformer and Mat pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses the reformer beds that you see in the studio, whereas
Mat Pilates is done on the floor in the mixed purpose room. Both work on
keeping the body mobile, while increasing strength and building flexibility.
